-A love letter to the Starless Sea
I’ve wondered why it is when I experience something so beautiful it breaks my heart.
not a broken heart but it’s a beautiful heartbreak. I think it’s when you fall in love with something fleeting and intangible. Like a first experience or a sunset. Unrecrible things that are momentary.
Your pages have left me heartbroken. I consumed you and now you are gone. All I have left are memories of how it felt when I experienced you. I became so quickly attached and I dreaded your inevitable conclusion, realizing your short lifespan I reveled and savored every word choice. All of the conjured up imagery and emotions fading even now as I desperately attempt to maintain my grasp. I shuffle through scenes and emotions in hopes of recreating that euphoria and enigmatic wonder, each time a mere impression the the time preceding.
You are a story, and a place. You are a mystery and a friend. You’re as familiar as deja vu and equally as eerie. While you are filled with emotions, you cannot reciprocate the love I have for you.
